Very Cool find Rich.... What is the quality of the sills? I know the DCN also has these available but at a higher cost. I wonder if they are one in the same manufacturer?

John,
I'll see how much swearing and cussing they take to make them fit! They don't look fantastic quality, but I reckon they should do the job acceptably. I'll let you know how I get on.
I was aware that the DCN were slightly dearer. I don't mind paying more to support the club and their remanufacturing efforts, indeed I did purchase the jacking points from the, but there were two hurdles to cross with regards to the purchase.
The first was availability. I was only able to get a full length sill for one side and a short length original for the other side. The second was the cost of transport. Being a oversize item, the cheapest way would have for been for me to drive to Eindhoven to get them. The travelling doesn't bother me, but £100 for fuel and ferry would have broken the bank.
My friend who owns a Fiat 500, regularly buys parts from Germany rather than the UK because it is cheaper, even allowing for carriage. This inspired me to see what the German word for 'sill' was!
I chose the German option as the carriage was a mere 16.90 EUR to the UK and even oversize items I think were 29.00 EUR. Very strange given that it would have cost more than that for me to send something similar within the UK. The box weighed 4kg, had a volume weight of 31.5kg, was 1.7m long and arrived in 4 working days.
I think they have 'A' type sills too, but I think you can only get one side.

Hi Rich, I checked out their site (plus the manufacturer's site in Belgium) They do offer both sills for the "A" & "B" type, but only the outside ones. It's too bad they can't manufacrure both inside as well as outside, this would make life so much easier......Ah, but who wants an easy life anyway ?
I passed on the two websites to my friend in Holland who was going to pass them on to the DCN warehouse manager...let's see what happens there.

They could well be described as "over-sills", but I don't intend to have them fitted as such. I want the job done properly.
I'm going to have to make some enquiries, as the guy who has the car at the moment made it obvious to me he wasn't going to do a proper job and that has left me more than a bit mad. (I've given a large chunk of my time up on computer related matters and the reciprication of favours has been unbalanced).
I'll be back with some news when I've found another repairer and calmed down.

So I ordered a set of these yesterday - the company say 2-3 weeks for delivery. Has anyone else got them and can I rely on that (i.e. can I book the car in to have the work done?)

I didn't deal with Warny direct, but someone over on boards.ie was looking for some Fiat 127 panels and I suggest Warny. He said: "Warny came through alright and me mate ws delighted with the quality. There is no agent for them in the uK or Ireland so we had to get them direct which was grand except they were frustratingly bad at getting back to us with info and prices. Good result."
Then also added: "It's funny when you ring them and they greet you in about 10 languages. I've never had to be passed to someone else, they seem to all have perfect english.
He doesn't say exactly how long between actually ordering them and delivery, but from my reply date to his thank you post was 5 weeks, but a bit of that time was taken at the enquiry stage it appears.
As stated above, I got mine from ATP Auto-Teile-Pöllath GmbH, Germany and they delivered ex-stock.

Ah, apparently they've (ATP) no stock at the mo, so it'll take about 2-3 weeks. They were a little slow initally but have got back to me with great, if in German, communication. Thank Google for Language translation....

Bad news, atp tell me 'Unfortunately we must communicate to you that these parts are no longer available.' whether they can be obtained from Warny or not I'm not sure yet.
