Am considering fitting a radio/cassete/CD player thingy. Where is the best place to locate an aerial on Snowdrop. Rear wing? Do I need a specific type?
Cheers
Ken

There's no specific type Ken so far as I know. I've seen them on the back wing and also through the A pillar. As for type depends on the head unit I guess and whether you want an electric one. Alternatively there are some 8 tracks knocking about at Central plus a good collection of tapes if you want to go properly 70's retro!

Ive got one of those stick on the windscreen electronic ones in the triumph which is actually pretty good. To my amazement. Anyway have some pics of how I mounted a radio in my 44 Head unit is fitted by welding a screw bar across the top of the bit the radio slides into and then screwing to the tubular brace just behind the dash. Looks like this Speakers where originally on the rear parcel shelf only and the wiring is run under the matting. There are now speakers at the front as well, but not fitted properly. The plan is to bend some checkerplate screw it to the rail at either ends of the dash and fit the speakers into it. Finally the airiel. I have taken the electric airiel from a 90s vauxhall and fitted it through the passenger wing. A small hole is then drilled into the cabin for the wire and the airiel is earthed to the wing itself. Looks quite neat I think

Modern stereos can still be done but it does make them a little more complicated (to the point that aerial placement will be the least of your headaches )

Cool, in that case you just need to worry about where to put the aerial My vote's for 6 foot fibreglass whip, front wing mounted and clipped down to the rain gutter in true 70s style ;D Edited to add: Seems they're still available as Lambretta accessories. Choose red, white or blue ;D www.t-a-s-s.co.uk/shop.php?product_id=4708
