Hi Guys,
Desperate for some help, have a DAF XF 105 2013 had been getting transmission warnings for a while now and took the truck to DAF and pretty much told that they were nothing really worry about. The truck was never slipping gears or grinding or anything like that would make me think there was a problem with the gearbox.
So after their advice I kept driving the truck but the warnings become more frequent and started becoming red but would turn the truck off and back on and the warnings would disappear. So went back to DAF and they plugged it into the computer and because there was no active codes was told there wasn’t much that could be done but reset the codes and keep driving.
So after their advice that’s what I did but now having a worse problem, the truck will be driving and the red transmission warning comes straight on but not only that the engine switches off while the truck is driving and because the truck is in gear when the engine is turning off the truck can’t be started. So I took it back to DAF and I was told to replace the gear box, find this a bit strange as there haven’t been any issues with gear changes etc.
Never heard of anything like this before any advice would be helpful, I hope this make sense as I’m pretty green with trucks.
Thanks heaps, Ben

Sorry, Ben, but this forum is for the Daf CARS of the 1960s & 70s, so our collective knowledge of Daf TRUCKS is somewhat limited!
