That's coming along nicely, John! From the photos it looks like you could almost advertise it as an "unfinished project, little required to complete" now

Every unfinished project needs only a little work to complete even if they have just dragged it out of a river after 20 years and only removed the rear bumper.

Every unfinished project needs only a little work to complete even if they have just dragged it out of a river after 20 years and only removed the rear bumper. Talking of which, check out this month's Practical Classics magazine. Don't have it to hand but someone has pulled a split screen VW camper out of a Norwegian fjord where it has resided for the last 20 years (apparently they used a submarine to find it, now that's dedication) and they are going to restore it. Rough as hell but they reckon it's not too bad..... Just makes you wonder how bad something really has to be before it is considered unrestorable.

Erm, I kind of like it, I think the proportions suit it well. Does that make me some kind of sick philistine?

I'm sure you could find a massive pile of them for nothing, not that desirable as a car or garden ornament

John! What have you done??? Those lightening holes would have been worth a good couple of MPH in a Daf. All the needed was the edges smoothing a little ;D

Nice work, John, and (yet again) you're making me soooo jealous! This time for having anywhere that you can physically work at all in this weather. We haven't had snow but it's cold, damn cold, and Isabel has an MOT in a week or so, so I can't avoid standing out in it Gave Betty a wash yesterday after we'd been out in her and the water was freezing in a sheet on her roof as I went. The Met Centre is telling us it's 3 to 4 deg C out there and I don't believe them!!!! ;D

I do like that low opening John, just be careful not to keep your loose change in your left hand trouser pocket when you driver her! ;D

That would be why I had not noticed it being that low before. It makes sense to me john and with just a little jeep influence in the lower sides.

All very well but youve made a big mistake with this one. The seat is on the right side but the controls aren't thats no good for when the DOC come and steal it. I want to see it RHD then we will all get the rowing boat out after all the atlantics not that big...... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
