Paul, wonderful pics. Is that Conwy Castle? And nice FC Victor 101 estate, Victor FD estate, Renault 16, HB Viva on the ferry, 1100s...
Have you converted the slides yourself or did you find a place to get them done?

I assume you don't mean Hobbs Point / Neyland or the Viva disembarking? In which case it must be the one with <-- EXETER splatted all over the road, which I'm having trouble pinpointing (Devon's grown since then!) but as a best-guess I'd say Paignton, except that Exeter should be the other direction from there (first could be a very under developed Torquay as well). But 2 and 5 are definately Caernarfon Castle (spotted by Sian as I was scrolling - but I would have noticed, honest!) Some great, relaxed, atmosphere in that lot, kinda wish it was possible to move back in time seeing things like that Also spotted 2 Triumph saloons which must be FWDs at that age

Hi Richard yes i did i have a printer that converts them. i dont know where any of the pictures are except Tewkesbury and Caernarfon Castle. my family were from Gloucester so i have no idea ;D slides are great but loose so much realism when converted, there are literally thousands of them here Joe being a "deep southerner" i bet you know allot more about the pictures. i have loads of Devon and Cornwall

One of the photos looks surprisingly like Gibraltar. Is that possible?

One of the cars seems to be a Bull nose SAAB. The SAAB place in Royston has one in very good condition. He needs to chop it up as it was handed in under the scrappage scheme. Criminal!!

It's surprising to see the Saab in those pictures. One thing that does strike me is how patriotic us Brits were back then.
