I have now sold my Daf 66 on ebay. The buyer is in Holland. It's not my problem but he is asking how he is going to get it home and if I can drive it to Harwich, which I am not too keen on. Has anyone any experience or advice on shipping a car to Holland? It is sorn at the moment. Thanks, Martin.

You can't drive a car when it's SORN, customs will stop you if the police hasn't before you get there. I am about to export a car to the Netherlands and went throught the process of getting it MOT'ed, insured and taxed (£0 in this case) in order to drive it to NL myself.
The UK MOT is by the way valid in the Netherlands (called APK) so any new owner would benefit from that.
In this case I would transport it on a truck or trailer, but that can be costly; something the buyer should have thought of when he bid for the car really. Make sure you send the appropriate V5 slip to the DVLA so they know is't exported.
