In my endless browsing I have discovered that our little cars do indeed have something in common with the chrome bumpered MGB Apparently MGBs used 2x 6V batterys wired in serial rather than a 12v battery, which I have confirmed with an MG specialist. Im just hoping that one of these batterys will fit a DAF especially as they can be had for around £50

Hi,several motor factors sell good 6v batteries at a reasonable price. If I remember correctly the MGB batteries are quite deep and would touch the underside of the bonnet when closed,so as advised use a 404 or equivalent. starider

;)Hi, £100 sounds a bit expensive, the one I bought a while back for my 44 wasn't much over £60.Of course they are more expensive than 12volt because the demand for 6volt batteries is very very low, so production costs are much higher. NB I did spell batteries correctly. starider.
