i made this video for the 2008 DAF club meet with Holland, i though at the time it was cutting edge still it was a great time and probably one of the best DAF events ever. Poor old Mike driving my 44 at the time, still miss him Now then Paul

Ah, now then Paul...
Happy and poignant memories in so many ways.
Eleven years - seriously, where does the time go?
I wonder where your green 44 is now? And the red 55 that we saved between us?
Funnily enough I have just finished the next issue of Belting Along, and there is some nostalgia in that.
And the video is ace - even after all these years, I really have not fathomed how to "do" video editing on a computer.

I wonder where your green 44 is now? If you mean PYV 82L (Gladys) I had it for a while and then sold it to a couple from Leicestershire. They put it back on the road and drove it for quite a while, as well as getting a second Daf (called Daphne). They had a Facebook page about both cars, but haven't updated it since 2017 when they'd bought a scrap 44 to use for parts for some work needed on Gladys.

Someone made me aware that there was one of those "nice DAFs" parked on the edge of the yard. It had suffered a bash in the nearside rear wing (the owner had reversed at a fair speed into s wall) Anyway, I bought it from the yard, and our good friend Paul DAF Daffer then took it on to get all running again and to tidy the body up. It then went to a new owner but since then, no idea where it is.

i remember the trip too the jaguar heritage museum as i came over the brow off a hill i nearly stuffed the poor old 55 in the rear end, luckily i managed to swerve and ended up stopping 3 cars ahead of the 55. the poor couple in the 343 black beauty looked mortified..
