Just received a letter from Kelsey Publishing informing me that they will no longer be publishing Classic Van and Pick-up. Another result of the current situation. A great shame as it was an excellent magazine. Club magazines will be invaluable as it is believed many published magazines will disappear from the shelves. So anyone who hasn't renewed their membership subsciption to DOC would be well advised to do so as we need to continue publication. Every subscription helps to keep costs down.........starider

I, too, received the same letter and have requested a refund of the remaining subscription, since I don't feel the publication I was being transferred to really interested me. I agree with Starider, it was a great publication, to which I contributed a number of pieces in the past. It felt quite like "Belting Along" as it had such "quirky" interests.

Hi Andrew, like yourself I had articles published in the past and had recently been in contact with the Editor and was awaiting a reply,I thought he was taking a while replying,so now understand why. I have just cancelled my Direct Debit. Somewhere I have binders with several years of the first copies from the first edition. What was always a bonus was that adverts were free, although once the word got around it was always full of advertisments for camper vans[mostly non classic], until the publishers realised and greatly reduced taking adverts for campers[only classics]. I think sometimes publishers think folks are quite happy to accept an alternative publication. Folks buy a particular magazine because of it's content and CVP, as Andrew says, was quirky, and written in a free and easy style. Will be sadly missed by it's fans[dare I say "friends"].

I'm not taking out the alternative subscription offered & will receive £62 in refunds! I still have a copy of the 2012 magazine, in which I submitted an article about my Father's business & the vans he used!
