Eccentrics who drive Dafs are probably also likely to have other odd interests. Mine include autocycles/mopeds. At present I have seven. Do others share this hobby? I also have a number of old motor mowers. As I no longer have a lawn they are all - save one - available for an enthusiast to restore.

I like old mopeds, had three at one time, now all sold/given away. There is someone else on here who likes those... has about a dozen Dafs and various moped/motorcycles Amongst those my old Union Sport-O-Matic... 47 cc of raw power!

I think that would be me then.
I'm still not sure how I ended up with so many Honda Melodys but they seem to fetch good money on eBay - and I'm far too weighty to ride them! So they need slimmer owners whilst I put the money towards getting more DAFs back together. At last.
So what do I have left?
4 x Honda Melody 1 x Honda Runaway 1 x Union Sport-O-Matic (yay!) 3 x Ariel 3 trikes 1 x Suzuki Marauder 125 1 x BSA Bantam 175cc
Everyone loves the Union - it's very lovely indeed! I shan't be getting rid of that!

Did you ever manage to swap the wheels for the ones on the broken Batavus?
I know it's asking a lot, but you don't happen to have picture of the Union do you? (And yes I know I've owned it for 4 years, only have one photo when it was in bits...)

Nope, got past the two wheels stage once I'd had an off. Now it's just cars for me. Just sold a Trabbant (OK, it was the wife's but I only bought it as a 'gift' for her so I could get one!) My current collection includes: Rover SD1 2600 auto converted to V8 manual with holley 350cfm carb, stainless exhaust with tubular manifolds etc (work still in progress but on the road and my daily hack). Then there are my cars that I can't get access to due to a legal dispute with a mates' ex landlady who really needs to die a nasty death: Half share in MK1 Golf GTI 16V in Lhasa Green. Daf 33 on 'M' plate in Mostano (annoyingly, unlike mine drives lovely but is a bit too frilly for an MOT, has probably dissolved by now). 2 Porsche 924 (intention was to make one good one from the two). So, a petrol head through and through except being on four wheels. If I ever get over the technophobia I might even post some pictures. Otherwise I have a bizarre love of all things Scandinavian, have travelled all round Scandinavia including Greenland and love everything Icelandic, even after all this Icesave business. I do hang onto the dream of getting my 33 back on the road and visiting the Daf museum on route to Amsterdam, and have a mate who is egging me on to get the 33 fixed so he can join me. Mind you, I think there would be some arguements over who would be driving back (i.e. who would be the most lucid). ;D Well, that's probably too much detail for everyone. Hey ho.

So I'm not the only barmy one! The Wirral Wobblers section of the NACC includes a few heavyweights, Howard, one of whom rides a very speedy Ariel 3.
Presently have: Hungarian Velosolex - '04 reg. Honda C90 - step thru Honda P50 - motor in back wheel Mobylette - not duomatic Puch M50D - 3 speed. Cyclemaster 32 c.c. - Wheel only New Hudson Autocycle - 1946 - 98cc - barn rusty New Hudson Autocycle - 1957 - just bought. Velocette LE - 1957 Mk 2 MZ 150 c.c. X 2 - ratty DMW 197 c.c. - basket case. BSA Bantam D14 - basket case
Also have and use 1992 Saab 900 convertible, 2005 Fiat Panda diesel, and 1960 Rover P4 80
Warning! If you buy/rent/inherit a large empty storage area under safe cover then it will take a very short time to fill it! I've proved it.
