this it a 9 hour history of mine and dafdaffers 44 saloon. Warning if you are easly distrested i would read no further it all started at 9.10 on saturday morning when we found this It had been in the same place for a few weeks . We started stripping out the glass. so we could do this at 9.20 who needs harry potter magic to make a car fly ;D

At 10.00 it was back to my place once in place we managed to get the boot open (dafdaffer has this on video) ;D and we found some nice glasses in it. ;D ;D ;D weres Wally impression. This is were we had a look at what we had. The boot floor, the other side is just as bad. The passenger side wing. The drivers side wing. Rust in the roof. the floor or whats left of it. and the engine

So the strip down started the bonet is ok so we removed it. the started on the engine. front wing removed by hand ;D large spiders found all over the place. other wing removed by hand. Front chassis leg holding engine in engine out by 11.45, lots of rusty bolts. .

we spent the next 2 hours stripping as many good bits as we could ;D Then things started to move on. convertable Ooops Stripping the front cross member about to start. A handsom man in nice glasses .

Then started stripping out the rear end over she goes. and all out and packed away in the garage for 6.30pm just three large bits for the scrap man to pick up next week. All thats left of a once great DAF.

Unfortunatly she was not as good as your volvo or we would have saved her, 20 years off the road and at least 10 of them on the farm had not been kind, only panel saved was the bonet.

the car looked fine with them glasses on.
it was was a bargain for the original £300 asking price ;D

Incredible. And the owner/seller genuinely believed in his heart of hearts that someone would like to spend a considerable amount of money restoring it!

That makes the one on ebay look positively easy! It had one of these I take it? I once saw an abandoned Fiesta with a council removal notice on the front - and one of those cards stuck in the side window.

I want it to its very handy just uses a bit of fuel.
I will just have to settle with being aloud to borrow it and a driver now and again.
