We collected the 46 estate from Peter today: It will need a bit wedling here and there, and most importantly a new bonnet and boot. The clutch will also need doing. Plan is to make this into a Van like the one Stef is doing.

Personal opinion, that looks way too straight to vanify. By all means take the back seats out for space (they can always go back) but just add curtains if you want privacy in the back

Well we had a look at this today dose need both front wings changing as they are very thin all round the front with plenty of holes, bonnet shot and needs replacing, new boot lid (which we have) and pasenger door would be nice other than that the body is very solid

Well work has also started on this one engine was almost removed last weekend. then this weekend the engine was removed, before startring had the usual trouble with the lower exhaust bolts Please note alcohol and power tools should not be mixed then engine out bell housing off so this afternoon it was time me to replace the clutch shoes as a jamed clutch was the reason for the engine out in the first place. The old shoes, top 4 missing All new shoes fitted And bell housing back on and ready for refitting next weekend.

Could just be the photo, but have you got the leading shoes on that clutch sprung to engage first? If so, it's going to give a very sharp take-up!

Yes will sort it tomorrow after work tomorrow will not take long Better now than when the engine's back in. To be honest, I only noticed because I nearly did the same with Isabel's - just happened to do one last check as I was putting the bellhousing on and spotted it then I think she really would have got torched if I hadn't noticed before trying to pull away ;D

I thought I'd better put some more photos up: The sill is nice and solid, just the wing that is rotten Clutch now sorted, engine ready to go back in: Exhaust welded, as you may be able to see no more hotspot pipe:

More work done this weekend: Engine back in and running briefly Exhaust replaced and back in Fuel tank in (but that might need to come out again) Oh and we put some new wings on! Jobs left to do: Sort something out with the passenger door, the top is rather poo-like Weld up the bonnet Take glass out of spare bootlid and assess rust issues Check fuel line, she's not drawing fuel from the tank. Spray anything thats needed Put her back together and do MOT like things

They'll be fibreglass alright and that way they cannot rust Are they the same make that Stef had the alignment issues with or did you go for a different brand?

These are Honey bourne mouldings mine were Smith and Deakin, these seem to be a bit better fit but time will tell.
Still we have got wing replacement down to hours a side now.

Good work! Doing the pair will hopefully help if there are any intollerances as at least they should be symetrical.
