I have now been burgled twice in 2 months and its really annoying me. Ive now had too Laptops stolen, an xbox, the virgin media box, my stereo, the cars stereo and my alarm clock. As a result of this i am now moving out and considering dropping my course losing all your work twice has that effect. As a backlash to that I may have to sell my car as I wont have student funding anymore. I am now in a really really bad mood. Why cant people go and ruin someone elses life for a change and LEAVE ME ALONE.
One very annoyed and now very skint Paul

Oooh-err! That's not good, Paul I know it doesn't help with the feeling pee'd off but do you have insurance on your room for the stuff that's gone?

I do but I dont know if it will cover me as my housemates left the frontdoor unlocked. I was in the house when it happened and must say it kind of takes the wind out of your sails

Well, don't rush into any decisions re Gladys. In today's world of easy credit and not having to wait for things you want it's too easy to get carried away but this is something that you really should use good, old fashioned priorities on. With a bit of budgeting and, especially, self-control it's amazing how much you can save by cutting back on luxuries like food, heating and so on in order to afford the important things like Daf ownership

Yes not to mention having to buy software licences again to put work software on new computer. lest a bit of good luck the 2nd laptop had been hidden as a practicle joke and is now recovered which means I can stay at uni and dont have to sell. Will definatly be moving though enough is enough

Yes not to mention having to buy software licences again to put work software on new computer What software? If it's Office type stuff then you really should look at Open Office - no more licences ever and it does everything you're likely to need, including loading / saving MSh*te formats. The OU actually recommend it and supply copies on disk.

Hi Paul, That's bad news and I really can empathise. My wife studied at Leeds Uni and was living in Leed's postcode 6. Once her house got burgled and they took everything. Luckily she had returned home for the hols and the only thing she had left behind was a blanket which they stole (presumably to help them carry the television out). All the students rented their TVs, until the rental shop stopped renting to students living in that part of Leeds. Insurances carried a premium. One morning we walked to the corner shop for some supplies and found an abandoned car, parked diagonally accross the road with both doors open, lights on and engine running. Regretfully where there are student lodgings there will invariably be burglaries, it is a sad fact of life. My wife is now a student teacher and recently her lap top broke and she lost a lot of coursework. Luckily it was mostly fresh in her mind and a new laptop was bought the same day, after a few very late nights the course work was redone. She learnt the hard way of always having a back up! What doesn't kill you will make you stronger Paul.

Yep, you guessed it, Otley Road. The Otley Road Run (aka pub crawl) was legendary though! ;D

Permission granted. I'm so cheesed off that even having my tyres let down would cause me deep psychiatric scarring at the moment! I'll have to dig out some Triumph bits for you to cheer you up....
