With special thanks to Onne i collected the 46 from mikes yesterday, Onnes 44 performed well and soon had us there. although the fuel gauge does not work and the speedo was over reading and the steering was a wee bit loose she drove very nice. i have fitted a new set of clocks and tightened the steering and she feels great. shame she will be on ebay in a few weeks as i have no time for her as i have too many projects. she could do with a respray and general tidy up, she is like new underneath but now with biddy and nylo no time she should be making a visit to derbyshire on the 9th

to be fair i would like it t go to someone who does not own a daf already so a, there is a new member and b, she gets all the attention she needs, sadly the 46 is the less loved one of all which is a shame as they drive the better than the 44 and 33 and they are still aircooled, not as good in the snow though if however there is no interest i may part her out for bits for Biddy and Nylo as she has a new full exhaust and a rebuilt engine good wings and bonnet and boot lid which both of mine dont have ;D but that would be very last option

Room at the Bristol DAF Centre if anyone wants it put there. I KNOW I don't have a 46, and sure, I would like one, but progress with the others is still agonisingly slow so I would be daft to take anything else on - at least until I can spend more time on them! I still have the new tail section of a 46 exhaust - would happily swap for a tail section of a 44!!

That looks ace, I'm sure it will shift on eBay easily enough.

Sorry John - I can't and I mustn't. Not until I know where I will be moving to and how many DAFs and SAABs I can stuff in I might even have to get rid of a few DAFs See what I mean? Who knows!!! Love the picture though - it DID make me laugh!!!!!

At least Howard, you've already got a good home for the green Saab!

Yes I do - at my place! It's weird though - people are bonkers about that car. Everywhere I go, people say "You've got a 5-door Combi Coupe? How RARE is that!". I've no idea really, but when people on the Saab Club stand want to see pictures of it, it must be something out of the ordinary. Certainly, since I've had one I've not see any others like it. Wish I could get a soddin' bumper for it though - I've got about six people on the go who say "I've got one!" but haven't yet come up with the goods Oh well, might be able to get an expensive one in Switzerland at the Saab International later on in the year.....

I'm with you on that John, but where does it end? I've already found myself enquiring about rare beasties, like model 30's, Kalmars and YA66s - but yes, probably having one of each is sensible!
Trouble is, you get very attached to cars. To my peril.
