;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Sorry, I think I've recovered now. Oops, hold on... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Ahem, you're a funny chap Paul!! Getting all of my cars together would take a trip into the forth dimension and serious stretching of the time/space continuum. I will need some serious quantum physics to sort that one out!! Seriously though, my Rover is on it's own thread and there are pictures of Gavina both under her own thread and latterly Essex Dafs. I couldn't fit all of my cars onto my driveway but I would dearly like to try. That would mean that I could have back my Mostano Daf 33, Mk1 Golf GTi 1.8 in Lhasa green and 2 x Porsche 924 which b!tch woman will not release to me, despite countless letters and unsuccessfully taking her to court!! That's not to mention that my van is in Sudbury care of Dan and I haven't taken delivery of the 32 yet. As for Matt, well, he doesn't have a driveway, so that wouldn't work! All of his collection was photographed in the North meets South thread, but Matt has said that if you want a photo of them all out in the open then he's happy to oblige! Also note that some of Matt's cars he shares ownership with Dan (Goldie the 46 springs to mind) so cars would have to be moved between Sudbury and Colchester (Essex is a large county by the way). I'll freely admit that I am a hoarder, I have a weak spot for cars and accept many that are offered to me or the ones that I 'just have to have' regardless of whether the money or space to store them is there. Was that not the case with your 55MC? It has always been my weakness and will most likely be my undoing at some time in the future. Anyway, seeing as you are the only Daffer who has expressed any interest in visiting us (you were always welcome anyway, just as any of these forum members are), you'll be able to see them for yourself!! Probably make a long day of it rather than a camp over now, just let us know when! If my numbers come up tomorrow night then I'll buy a house with a mahusive driveway and I will have all my cars lined up to photograph for your edification! ;D

You can just see The Bullet and Bjorn in my avatar pic.
Your pic is interesting Paul, because the red Polo classic there too... I used to own one of those in the late 1980s. Massive boot for the size of car, and went quite well. I liked to pretend (I was young then) that it was really a small Audi (which in a way, it was)
As nowadays, the saloons were never as popular as the hatchbacks, but it was still quite practical. Rarely see them nowadays.

No offence was taken Paul, and I did find it amusing! And Onne, Stef and DD, yes I remember your visit very well and particularly enjoyed revisiting my favourite greasy spoon to which I would not have had any excuse to go there otherwise. Glad you like our tea too, we do drink lots of it down here! ;D Of course, we'll be very happy to have you as our guests again. The whole idea which Matt and myself were angling at was to try to make an event down here, especially for those who have previously expressed an interest in doing so but have not yet had the chance. The badlands isn't the most exciting of counties but there are some hidden gems here, such as the 'secret nuclear bunker' for example, amongst others! ;D Anyway, we'll just have to see where the Autumn Frolic ends up, 'somewhere in the east/south' (shame that's not 'south/east') ;D

Red polo classic is my housemates car. 1 litre engine, its got scirocco seats volks alloys, race steering wheel its lost it bumpers (and front indicators in the process) he thinks it looks better that way I disagree entirely. The car is also terrified by speed bumps and my trolley jack will not even go under it.
Somebody please explain how he can drive a car around for 6 months with no indicators or number plate lights and the worlds loudest exhaust and not get pulled, where as I cant drive a car with a blown sidelamp for less than half an hour without getting pulled over how on earth does that work. I was pretty glad after being pulled that I had been over enthusiastic with the gaffer tape in the morning resulting in the copper comenting on how solid the Triumph was for its age and telling me too stick a new bulb in the sidelamp and sending me on my way. If only he new what was under the "Waterproofing" ;D.
Yes that polo does have an imense boot I thought the DAFs had big boots but there nothing in comparisom, that is about the only thing that is left on that car that I like, oh and he offered to chop the springs on the triumph and to lower the DAF I think not.

Well Paul, Not being one who likes to disapoint, Matt has taken the requested photograph for you. They're all there apart from the Mk3 granada which has a flat battery and wouldn't play ball. I do feel incredibly guilty as I was not there to assist him and it took him all afternoon. He even had to climb up a ladder in the snow and sleet to get the correct angle. So, we hope you like it (I don't think Matt wants to recreate this photograph any time soon)!! ;D
