Just been to a local farm and machinery sale (viewing) and amongst the tractors and things was a white 76 daf44 ,last on the road in 97 ,having said that condition looks v.good, runs and moves , so thats promising..sills and floors solid, only bad bit of rust seems to be front of bonnet on 1 side...so I think I'll have to go and have a bid on it..being among vintage tractors I don't think theres a lot of interest in it...well thats what I'm hoping...keep you posted...P33b..

Yes some v.interesting stuff there ,lots of diesel engines ,pumps etc. an old chain driven lawn mower with villiers engine.... I like the look of it. I'll have to look again as to whether its a 44 or 46 but they have advertised it as a 44 ..all will be revealed soon...let you know tomorrow....p33b

It was a 44, must have been late registered, I went up to £120 , but it carried on up to £180.. It needed all of the exhaust system . fuel tank or pipework blocked has done 66000 mls. interior a bit threadbare..bodywork looked easily doable though... anyway I thought £180 + commission etc. was too much..never mind eh...p33b..
