I've just bought a trailer off some guy on ebay who was listed in Holyhead. Turns out he was about a mile and a half down the road in an old, run-down stable complex that we've noticed a couple of times. Turned up in Sheila and mentioned that the trailer was for Betty - he'd noticed Betty around - and we've now been offered as much space as we need (within reason of course) in the complex - which includes power, welding kit, and a 2 post lift! And all for the same price per month as our current 20 foot storage container!!! We'll have to think about it.......... ;D

Oh, it also contains assorted old cars (sadly not included in the rental) and various Sheila-type Triumph engines (again not included) including an experimental build one that's almost complete and been designed for 10k revs / around 160BHP. Although not included in the rental, he'd welcome the odd bit of help sorting them Oh, plus he has a car transporter out the back - We're talking fully enclosed box transporter with tail-lift and fitted workbench - that, should we ever find ourselves wanting to collect a project, might be negotiable. Still thinking...... ;D

It does, doesn't it? ;D Unfortunately, he likes to keep the place quiet so we won't be hosting an Anglesey Frolic any time soon

Ok, had a good think (took all of about 3 1/2 seconds) and we've decided to accept the offer. Should be claiming some space down there tomorrow ;D

Just arranged to pop down in an hour or so to choose a space. Apparently the one he has in mind has it's own showers and toilet. HOW posh is that? ;D

Don't know what you mean - bright sunshine outside for the past week or so ;D Just been to have a look and we've agreed on a space about 17 x 17 foot with a couple of "off the side" bits. Should be plenty of room for a couple of Daf sized things + room to work + a workbench, lathe and tool storage. Need to go down on Saturday to help move the stagecoach, a couple of antique horse buggies and the full rolling Spitfire chassis to make it useable. The 3 other spitties, 4 or 5 Standard 8s, 1930s Standard 10 and the other horse-drawn stuff shouldn't be in the way. If the 160bhp, 10k revs, Triumph 1300 engine is in the way I may offer to drop it into Sheila's engine bay for safekeeping

That sounds like plenty of room to fill with Dafs and possible room for expansion (to fill with more Dafs of course)! Sounds like you've had a right touch there Joe!

Spent most of today shifting stuff out of the new work area. It seems the showers aren't plumbed in, which is ok cos I have no idea where the assorted panels and engine bits currently stored in them would have gone otherwise There was a short (well, quite long really) interruption to help load a horse dray that the owner had sold onto the trailer that the buyer had turned up with. Two engine cranes and a bit of initiative was all it took It fit with about an inch either side and will have turned a few heads as he drove home with it! Anyway, just a bit of general sweeping left to do tomorrow and I can start moving stuff in and getting it all comfy-like. Might even get a photo once it looks respectable! Then we just have to find something to live in there...... ;D

Good stuff Joe! No more containers nor working in the rain...unless you really want to that is. Look forward to seeing some Dafs in there.
