;D I've just sold a few of my Saabs that I do not have the time to sort (leaves more time for DAFs, folks!) but as a condition of getting rid of them I've allowed myself this fine beastie. It's a 1991 Saab 9000 CS Carlsson, and it's obscenely quick. I've wanted one for years, and this one turned up nice and cheaply - so I went for it!

That's lovely Howard and black with black leather is the best Saab combination in my books - well bought that man!

No Stef - I won't be selling it either. As I promised before, if I DO ever consider it you WILL be the first person I ask.

It's all home now, and I've driven it to work today. After getting used to flooring the Corsa for it to do anything, this car seems so relaxed. I DID "test" the Turbo on the way home from Swansea, and still averaged 32.8 imperial MPG (supposedly). Not too shabby.
There are a few rattles from the sunroof, the electric aerial is noisy and the handbrake could be improved (and the headlining replaced) but all in all it's such a great car. It really is hard to believe it's 20 years old.
I'm very chuffed indeed. The seller and his partner were extremely pleasant, very helpful, and knowledgeable and the history of the car is wonderful. The usual notebook full of journeys made, items replaced, fuel used etc. It's only done 18,000 miles in the last ten years mind, so needs to be used a little more than it has. I'll do my best to do so!
It has already earned the nickname of Darth Vader's Courtesy Car!
