Attachment DeletedDid you think something really bad from the headline? Still, those of you with a nervous disposition when it comes to slightly dramatic shots, just need to be aware... I partially "blame" Volvo Graeme - only kidding - I have been thinking of doing this for a while... www.flickr.com/photos/25636451@N08/albums/72157661607571342 Many of you will think that it didn't need it, but over the last few months, a few bubbles have appeared on the wings, wheel arches flaking in a few bits and even a hole appeared in the wheel arch where it joins the sill. So my argument (aka excuse and justification) was to nip these in the bud before they take hold. Also, many years ago, the sills and front valance had been painted black, which is not original, so I am getting them re-done in the original Marina blue. What are we like, eh?!

Wonderful news! And how interesting to see a late A-Body from the rear without the later squared off facelift bootlid. That rear panel really didn't change at all from 1959 to 1974!!

Attachment DeletedIt's been an incredible two months since my dear little 33 went into the bodyshop for what turned out, in the end, to be a complete respray. It was all done well and quickly except for the fact that the little clips that hold the DAF badges onto the front panel broke, and it took quite a long time to get some replacements (thanks Danny at DAF Hobby) Also, the passenger door needed quite a bit of time being adjusted to get the lock/catch correct - it would not stay shut - not good! But, my friends, I think it is all done now, so here are a couple of pics of how it looks today, along with a link to the original album showing its less smart moments. (By the way, why can't those clever internet people make life easier when it comes to trying to upload photos? I share your pain, everyone! www.flickr.com/photos/25636451@N08/ Hopefully this takes you to an album. I think.Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted
