Hello my fellow daffriends abroad (as seen from here ;-) ) Following recent email contact with your honourable webmeister i like to register on this forum in order to discuss any dafrelated topics with my British friends. You may have read my article about the electric EV33 in the latest mag, that might be an interesting topic (a new one in a technical category i suppose) to start with. You will find my ''fleet'' here: gromsound.mfbfreaks.com/autos/shedful.htmI've been into dafs since 1983 (aspiring ownership since i was 8...). I HATE asocial media and FB in particular so i hope this forum will live on to prosper. Best regards from east Holland! Andre (never my last name in the interweb, i use my hobby name Gromsound for that).

I've just had a look at your fleet and I REALLY admire the Citroën Ami 6! I just about remember them being sold in the U.K. albeit in small numbers & they really roll when you corner them hard-the effect was quite alarming! That early Daf 600 is quite stunning, too!

Like Andrew, I also admire the Ami 6. ( and of course all the DAF's ). At the time I passed my test, my sister had an Ami 8. I drove it quite a lot and loved it, I was amazed at the way that little engine pulled a largish car along so easily.

That’s a great collection you have, I like them all. The 66 coupe with the 55 front makes an interesting car.

Haha! i asked Richard to change the 'really loves DAFS' thing to a more appropriate line for me like 'Lives variomatic' and now that is valid for everyone ;-) sorry guys... A 66 with 55 de-facelift is rather common in DCN, i just didnt dare to change it until someone publically admitted it in the magazine and was not banned for life! But it is all done with bolts/kit and all original parts are kept in storage so the next owner can reverse it if he wants to. although i also changed the dash last year that was a bit more work. When you click on the car pics in the dutch summary you will go to the separate pages about them, and might enjoy restauration pictures. Especially for the 600: a 5 page blog during 5 years of work. You were warned :-) gromsound.mfbfreaks.com/600/aaidafke2.htm
