Fascinating! I've never heard pantograph wipers described with such relish and aplomb! I want to see this museum for real!

The chap is Ian, who a few years ago was a writer on Classic Car Weekly.
He has been interested in DAFs for a long time, especially the air-cooled ones. I met him and he had a go in my 33 - and he was even more impressed by the whole DAF thing then.

I've become addicted to this guy, and have watched all the HubNut videos about the restoration of his Invacar, from being found in a scrap yard to running through central London. Amazing stuff! I never knew they had a Variomatic transmission system, together with a centrifugal clutch. Oddly the Invacar system doesn't have any vacuum assistance to alter the ratios, so the engine braking is negligible, which when you're driving a plastic 3 wheeled Invacar is "mildly unnerving" to put it mildly.....

On a similar subject, there is another Youtuber posting great vids of classic car road tests. She is not too far from me and I am going to arrange for her to take my 66 and road test it. This will be her first DAF and it would be good to see her appraise other DAF models too should anyone be interested. Her channel name is idriveaclassic.
