While at Princethorpe earlier this year I was chatting to a fellow 33 owner, who had recently had his car restored. He did have one problem, which was the failure of the rubber windscreen washer. I had a spare one, and a deal was done...... Only to have my own one fail few weeks later! Did I have another one...? No chance! I did eventually managed to nurse my old one through the M.O.T. (just!) and was on the lookout for a new one as a matter of urgency! I had previously bought a copy of "Motoring Which" from a "well known internet auction site", which covered a test of a number of mini-sized cars, including the Mini and the Daf Daffodil, amongst others, including the NSU Prinz 4. One of the pictures in the report showed the dashboard panel of the Prinz 4, and the windscreen washer looked familiar.... Fast forward to last weekend, when Daffy (together with Angie and myself!) attended the annual Redbourn Classic Car Show, at which there was a delightful NSU 1200TT. After a long chat with a the owner, he pointed me to a German website, which sells parts for these charming little cars, including the windscreen washer rubber! If anyone's looking for one of these, the website link to the windscreen washer is: www.nsu-autoteile.com/product_info.php?info=p2290_hand-pump-pressure-washer-nsu-prinz-4--1000--tt.htmlI'll be ordering one in the near future and will report back as to how it works, costs, postage etc.

That’s a great find. I love those air cooled NSUs, the 1200TT in particular. As an 8 year old I watched an Autotest on the Army base where my Dad was based. A silver NSU caught my eye that day amongst the more common Escorts, 911s and ‘02 BMWs and I’ve had a soft spot for them ever since.😎
