That's very disappointing to see...
Looking closely, there appear to be DAF Club Nederland stickers on at least one of the car's number plates. I can't believe that they would have sanctioned this nonsense - and appear to destroy or seriously damage at least one DAF.
All this will do is give simple folk ideas.
We had it a few years ago with Practical Classics where they had a go in a 340, although I don't think they quite wrecked that one.

Sorry if this offends, I didn't mean to upset anybody. It was DCN who helped organise this PR stunt with Red Bull which I think is great for the Daf cars brand recognition. As an F1 and Max Verstappen fan I was really pleased to see one of my favourite cars being driven by the world champion. The damaged white car is apparently already on its way to being repaired, the overheating of the blue Daf was caused by a blown cooling fan fuse. The fans on both cars had been wired to run backwards and draw air out of the engine bay as preparation for the run.

No offence taken!
And thank you for the extra info.
I still think it bizarre that they did this though. Brings back memories of probably hundreds of DAFs being destroyed in the name of "fun entertainment" by such racing back in the lte 70s/early 80s.
Don't worry though, I've still got my sense of humour!

Well, they are definitely making them more rare I suppose...

Does that mean I can now put Red Bull stickers on mine? My odd sense of humour is tickled. I can understand why some folks might be bothered, but maybe they weren't good cars underneath anyway?
