nice find may get some more for the 55 as the ones in it tend to trap you in the seat

thanks for this STA - I suspect Mona's belts might be an MOT faliure so these will help.
BTW I'd like to try and fit rear seat belts mostly so my wife will let me take the wee man in the car. Any ideas? I have heard mixrd views on this due to difficulty finding an anchor point

hi. when i carry my son in the car, he uses the belt in the front and the wife goes in the back. obviously belts in the back is safer but a child seat with the front belt is legal.

cheers paul - that looks like the best solution to me - there isn't really anywhere on a 44 where you could anchor a rear inetial belt easily to my recollection

Hi'I suggest you contact the company I have recommended for the front belts, they do supply rear seat belts as well, although I'm not sure about DAF rears. When I worked on DAF's in the late 60's until the end of production in the70's, I did fit rear belts to all models on occasions,we could get a fitting kit which used the rear parcel shelf using special reinforcing plates for the top mounting.I remember fitting sets into my 1967 DAF 32 at the time. starider.

Dafdaffer has a rear seat belt for his child seat in the 44, I think it was a rear belt for a volvo 66 with a large thick plate under the rear shelf.

The thick plate under the parcel shelf makes sense. I came across a fitter in North London who quoted me £150 to fit belts to the back - said he'd done Daf fittings many times - I didn't believe him because he was in his late 20's and there aren't that many Daf cars on the road and I have never seen one with a rear belt fitted so i guess he was tring the porkypie sales close

Hi,It's quite easy to fit rear seat belts to Daf's certainly not £150's worth, believe me and I am certainly old enough.I fitted dozens in the 60's and 70's.Has anyone tried the afor mentioned company to see if they can provide a fitting kit? Keep me informed, if anyone is really keen to fit rears, I will try to source rear mounting kits. starider.
