Well, I have stripped and serviced the speedo on my 33 Van in accordance with the excellent pages on Joe's website but it is still the same - reads very slow.
When I go through the speed meters at 30 mph, my speedo is showing 20 mph and the discrepancy seems to be same throughout the range, i.e. 50% or 33% depending which way you look at it. It's not erratic, steady but slow.
Does anyone have any Ideas?
Were the gear ratios on the speedo drive changed at any time or anything like that?
Could a wrong speedo head have been fitted at some time off a differnt model? i.e. would the speedo off (say) a 44 look the same but have different gearing?
Puzzled.
Pete.

Hello Pete I may still have the the old speedo I changed on my 33, had a problem with the speedo cable and it broke the finger off, other than that it was very accurate according to the sat nav. will check to-morrow and let you know
