Hello all,
I hope someone on here can help. I'm putting together a quick one-page guide to the DAF 66, and could do with a little bit of help from some owners - and some pics, if possible.
In terms of words, I've done an introduction to the car, but need to know where they rust, key areas to watch out for when buying, and whether you can upgrade any parts of it.
Also, if there's an owner here who'd be willing to write 70 words or so about what the 66 is like to live with, and supply two or three high-res images of them and their car, that would be much appreciated.
Obviously, I'll give the club a good plug in the magazine. All help gratefully received!
Regards, James Page Deputy Editor Classics Monthly magazine

thats quite impressive Richard, i would say a defo to the blown diaphragms as every 66 that i have has had to have them, still avalible as they are the same as the volvo 340 series. they blow due to a casting fault which can be rectified in about 5 minutes with a file. i have a rusty 66 if you would like pictures of bad affected areas.

Wow - that's a lot of help in a short space of time! Thanks for all your input.
Simon Westerby has been kind enough to email me some photographs of his 66, so with those, the text he sent me and the info here, I should be good to go.
The magazine will be on sale on 1st July, and I'll make sure this discussion board is properly thanked!
Thanks again for your help.
James
