looks similar to that e-type that was at Newarl it seemed to have range rover running gear

At least Minors are plentyfull I suppose. Bit of a double edged sword that, better a car is modified than scrapped. If you want that power though why not buy a car which has it in the first place (yes, I can talk with my Rover V8 conversion) ;D

hi.
i have no problem with the engine, but i would have kept it looking original from the outside. that way you can have GREAT fun with boy racers at traffic lights.
my morris 1100 needs another engine but does not have enough room for something that size.
oh well. each to his own i suppose..

I tend to ascribe to the each to their own, not my thing but it looks adequately well done. And since I have every intention of build an EV classic then I can hardly complain if someone wants to stick something else in. Mind you, I want mine to look fairly standard And I can't really complain too much, my minor 1000's got a fast-road-cam in a 1300 ital engine, marina disk brakes, telescopic rear shockers / with polybushed suspension....
