As mentioned in The News, we shall be having a DAF meeting on 24th September in Lower Stondon, near Henlow, Bedfordshire. So, any southerners who'd like to meet up...
Actually, anyone can - northerners, midlanders, southerners, members, non-members!! More info to follow soon - directions, times etc.
I understand that they have a couple of DAFs displayed, too.

Rich,
Don't worry too much if your DAF isn't ready! Strange as it may seem, for various reasons, not all of us turn up in our DAFs...

OK Rich, here are some more details. We have no idea how many people will turn up! But hopefully there will be a few. Stondon Motor Museum, Station Road Lower Stondon, Henlow, Bedfordshire. SG16 6JN. Tel 01462 850339 www.transportmuseum.co.uk. Sunday 24 September open from 10.00am to 5.00pm. Plenty of parking. (We suggest that DAF folk start arriving 11.30 onwards) Take a trip down Memory Lane, seeing bygone vehicles from the beginning of the century up to modern day classics, most of which originate from the largest private collection in the country plus more recent acquisitions, making a total of over 350 exhibits. There are also classics for sale and the collection of exhibits includes two DAFs. The site also incorporates a garden centre. Directions: Leave the A1 at Junction 10 for Henlow on the A507. Leave Henlow on the A6001 for Upper & Lower Stondon. The museum is marked with a replica of Endeavour outside; so something interesting for mariners too! Admission Adults £6, Children £3, Seniors £5 (Family group of 2 adults and 2 children £16); includes a free drink in their cafe. This will be the last meeting of the season; a chance to blow the cobwebs off the belts before the big freeze sets in!
