Thanks chaps.
DD - it's Cropwell!
46 van - now I would have liked to have seen that pull up - get the neighbours talking, had they been around. Thanks again to you and Biddy!
Er, I understand the blue hammerite but what is Autosol?

Mac P - I must admit that I was a bit worried that they seem very close to the body. But the front wheels turn lock to lock without fouling the arches etc, and the rear ones, well, I'll just have to be careful to not carry too much, or put weight on!

My word, your eyesight/computer screen is good. Or, you simply recognise them as being from a V66GLS!
The original wheels, which I am keeping nice and safe(!) are 13" and the tyres are 135x13.
Hope that helps.
Mr B.

That's quite a transformation in looks! Don't forget that the wider tyres in standard profile will make your speedo read about 6% lower than it used to - just be careful around camera areas As for Autosol - practically the defining word in automotive metal polish. Made by Solvol and comes in a black & gold toothpaste-type tube. Perfect for chrome, stainless steel and alloy (also as a buffing compound for inside inlet ports but I don't think they market it for that)

All you need now is a front and rear spoiler, side skirts, lights under the car and don't forget to fit a green or blue sunfilter on the windscreen with your name on it. Am I showing my age now? lol ;D

Not your own name on the sunstrip - for maximum 80s value it has to say "Kevin" and "Tracy" or "Daz" and "Caz" ;D

You will be relieved to know that I shall resist the sunstrip, lights and slammed down suspension.
MacP - point taken re the size of tyres, but these were the tyres that came with the wheels - and they are in good nick with good tread! More suited really for a B-body car really, but I'll see how I get on with them...
