yes MP i have mostly Halfords Pro tools i killed a torx socket and they simply handed me another and without receipt. i have had my ratchet spanners for over ten years now and they still work well.

Halfords pro stuff is excellent but I have snap on stuff I got on the cheap through college and nothing beats it. Talking of generic chains My local motorworld just provided me with a carter valve for Gladys and are ordering her a new high flow air filter cartridge

Yes, Halfords are good for replacing broken tools. I've never needed a receipt nor packaging; it's from their pro range which is irrefutable and as such they must replace. Granted though, what a touch there Rich! The replacement ratchet mechanisms are covered by the guarantee to that's all you need a receipt for.

i have a snap on ratchet that lives in the tool box unused, i prefer the Halfords stuff over snap on. i find it too Fiddly

I've got some nice old Britool and King Di ck tools. Even have some Didldidi socket sets for carrying in the car. ;D yes i have some Didldidi ratchet spanners that i brought for work about 4 years ago, still going strong ;D ps did you get any land gull with yours
