Just thought you good folks might find this of use. I have just had a quote from Peter James (ex FJ) for my Triumph TC and FWD, plus Snowdrop. This is for fully comp, unlimited mileage, £100 xs, recovery and legal cover. One car is garaged, t'others not. £97!!!!!
Discount for the Triumph Dolly Club, but the same should apply for the DOC I would imagine.

That is a truely excellent rate Ken. Gavina herself cost that much (Rover is modified so cannot easily go classic). The money saved should, of course, all be spent on DAFs and related activities.

I phoned FJ for a multicar insurance. Citroen 2 CV, Peugeot 205 CTI and a Peugeot 205 GTI comes to £ 370 a year with 2 named drivers. It's not the named drivers bumping up the price. He said that if I were to insure the DAF's only then it would be cheaper. The quote for all 10 cars came to over £ 600. Bit of a waste when most are off the road. I'm planning to have 3 or 4 insured and on the road each year.

I'm not a lover of insurance companies ESP my daily Chelsea tractor (used for pulling some serious heavy vintage lawnmowers ! And other such stuff !)is over 1000euro the annual road fund tax changed to 1297 euro not to mention the blooming repayments... have to wait till early next year to change it .never again , I'm going back full-time classic motoring for a fraction of the costs and I'm sure you will all agree more enjoyment
