Seen this on ebay? I haven't seen that sort of image since wandering round a scrapyard in about 1982 with three DAFs piled on top of one another - In those days I'll bet there wasn't much wrong with them either. Apologies if it was old news, but my automatic ebay search only just mailed it to me.

Hi guys, the guy is a total prat, he wants £200 for the engine which he does not know if it runs, and he has said he will not sell the car complete and if there is no intrest he will crush it. By all acounts it was a very good condition car with low millage and has had one owner and has been dry stored.

By all acounts it was a very good condition car with low millage and has had one owner and has been dry stored. I bet it was part of a house clearance! Some bloomin solicitor was executor for an estate - got Joe Bloggs clearers in who did it cheap and charged the relative for the privilege - then sold all the valuables from the house at twice what he paid - and just junked the car (Sorry - the first bit happened to me a few years ago - I'm still bitter!) Aging relative had already driven his 43,000 mile T Reg Simca 1300 to his local garage a few years before! The day after this fellow "does for" the DAF - I hope the Health and Safety come round and close him down. (Had a feel for classics since watching the family Austin Somerset being towed away for the last time circa 1972 - Bawling my eyes out - well - I was only 3! ) 2 days 18 hours to go - I'll go and light a candle.
