Hi, Just joined the forum and thought i'd say hello to everyone. Have a Volvo 340 GL auto 1.4 5 door which is on the road and used regularly. Have just found courtesy of Ebay a very rare Volvo 66GL estate which I shall initially get into a roadworthy condition over the next few weeks. Although I have owned and fixed vario's throughout my life it is only now that I am getting into preserving and running the cars I have as a hobby due to retiring. Am sure I will be in need of parts and advice and look forward to meeting some of you in the future.

Well, victor Volvo has arrived, having ventured out into daylight for the first time in almost 20 years! Initial inspection is better than first thought, needs new front wings, osr wheel arch and inner arch and both rear wing bottoms, however I shall tackle the body next year. I have already got him running and all the running gear etc is in good safe order, a good general overall and service and I hear the call of the Mot garage!!! All original equipment is in good working condition except for a broken drivers door mirrors, so if anyone can help with that it would be good. It appears that the original ignition barrel jammed, as they used too, as the original owner has fitted a Lucas ignition switch on the dashboard! I shall leave it functional as a tribute to the one and only owner before me, effort at keeping this little car on the road all those years ago. Both front inner wings have had substantial welding repairs, a bit of tidying up and they'll be fine. The interior is in fantastic condition, though very very dusty! Never seen so much dust in my life! Lol Anyway that's it for now I'll keep you all posted as Victor's restoration progress's. [/img]
