I have gotten to a point that requires me to purchase new tyres. I am afraid to admit that it has been some time since I last replaced the tyres on my car. They are long overdue, and I decided that I should take the time to do it properly. So I have been doing some research in order to help make the best purchase possible.
I began my search online as most of us do, and I started looking at different methods for gaining the most value of my tyres overall. I have decided that I should invest in a set of winter tyres, as well as a set for the rest of the year. I have been doing research on various companies that make tyres. I found a great Wikipedia page at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunlop_Tyres that discuss the history of the Dunlop company. I have considered purchasing Dunlop, but I wanted to get the opinion of people here. There are so many different quality companies that provide quality tyres. There are also countless types of tyres available for various types of road conditions.
I am no mechanic by any means, and I certainly have no equipment to do the work myself. I decided I would to search for companies online and discovered a number of websites for locations near me that could help replace my tyres. I found a website called Tyre Shopper at www.tyre-shopper.co.uk/. The reviews on the website are fairly good, but I want real reviews from people who have used their services. They have hundreds of location's nationwide, but have any of you actually purchased tyres or their other services?
What do you recommend for the best types of tyres for both winter conditions, as well as other seasons of the year. I am also interested in some of the recommendations you have for wet weather tyres. I figured that it would be smart to invest in the best rain tyre for the majority of the year, and purchase winter tyres, as well.
I don't have a ton of money laying around to replace my tyres, but I have enough to buy two sets. I am curious what tyres all of you recommend and prefer, and why you prefer those particular brands. I am also open to any advice that you have to offer which will help me purchase the right tyres for my seasonal needs without having to spend all of my savings.
