hi all.
i was talking to a friend of mine about the daf on ebay a while back claiming to be exempt from london congestion charges because of the drive system.
my mate thinks that ALL classic (tax exempt or pre73) cars are exempt from the congestion charges anyway.
does anyone know more about this.
it may be quite a bonus for kate if this is true and that free 44 is old enough. free tax and no congestion charges could be a real result. could be a good selling point for the rest of us as well.
any information please.

Hi John. I'm not aware of any other cities having it in place, but the whole world is looking at London to learn how it works. I can see it spreading to Europe and then getting in the US via New York. It's an easy money project. And....they have come up with a new scheme that start at the M25. It's only affecting big vehicles at the moment, but in a couple of years cars will be included. Luton is considering a congestion charge. And we're not even a city.
