Hi Everyone, it's been a while since I've posted so thought I'd update the progress on my Volvo 66 1.3 GL Estate. Bought blind on a famous auction site about 18 months ago. She was a non runner and had been stored for the last 20 years fortunately inside a warehouse of the local Ford dealer who took it in part exchange in 1995!! She is a 1 owner car with service history from new to the day she was part exchanged. I'm a wheelchair user so many jobs are a logistical nightmare for me and I owe a lot to a local classic car garage for all the welding they've done for me at very reasonable costs. I've managed all of the mechanicals so far on my own and has become a real labour of love. Yesterday she went for her first MoT test in 20 years and I'm proud to say she passed with no advisories, words can't describe what that means to me! Lol but I'm over the moon to have her on the road once more. What's left now is to save up some more pennies to get the bits of paintwork sorted professionally, my plan has always been to keep her as original as I can so I intend to keep as much of the original paint as I can. I am still looking for a pair of correct chrome door mirrors, for now I have fitted a pair of black ones from a later 343, and am also looking for a set of original black hub caps. Can any body help me, would really appreciate any help offered, would also like to install the auxiliary guage's in the centre console, any help or advice there would be great too guys. Am struggling to post pictures too, would appreciate a hand, I'm not so good at getting pictures up on here. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Excellent ! I was wondering how that lovely blue one was getting on.
It's best to upload photo's from a hosting site such as Photobucket, that way you can copy the code and paste it into the "upload photo" box on here.

Help - that is lovely! One of the last ones sold in this country too - i.e. the open-style headrests, different seat trim, orange numbers on the dials and no stickyback plastic "wood" dashboard trim.
And that colour is ace!

Updates, have had some problems with her not driving as she should, finally pinned it down to a stretched drive belt and clutch adjustment. Replacement belts fitted and reduced the shims by 1 car is now driving beautifully. Still got one weak jacking point to plate and saving up for a wheel arch repair and some paintwork. She is now being used regularly for local journeys, absolutely love driving her. Happy Belting to everyone. Steve
