So, the good news is that with a bit of coaxing (well a lot) I finally got my 44's engine working! The bad news is that it's definitely the fuel pump. I had a replacement that I picked up but that also doesn't work. Does anyone know of a repair kit available/can be bastardise to refurb the pump?

You can get refurb kits for these pumps. I bought one from eBay, it was listed as a Massey Ferguson part. This should be the same as the one I used: www.carpentergoodwin.co.uk/Products/0001000a0003000100060005/VPD3201
