Hi there does anyone have any 44 headlights kicking about? Mine is due an MOT on Thursday and the only thing I can see them pulling me up on is the reflective backing in the headlight deteriorated. Failing this, can anyone recommend somewhere to have them refurbished?

Hi, sorry!! only just read this post,too late to help "lincsrob" but if headlights are unavailable, it may be necessary to buy a couple of Lucas 7" units complete with backing shells and rims and fit those. I realise the car won't look original but at least the MOT test will hold no fears in the future and the Lucas units will last many more years than the originals and will be readily available.. If anyone fits new headlamps,a tip is to leave off the rim when you take it for an MOT Test, as any reasonable MOT'er worth his [or her] salt will adjust them for you for nothing!! starider
