Morning, I need a new battery for my DAf 66 estate. I do not have a battery at present, hence the question!
Thanks

Hi, a tip, once you have the dimensions for the battery, shop around and buy the most heavy duty you can get. More expensive, yes, but far more reliable, especially in cold weather...................starider

Thanks lads.
I read somewhere that a 063 battery would also do? Is that right?
Thanks

Hi, yes I fitted an 063. I got a Yuasa heavy duty one from Halfords and it has been excellent.

As it happens I bought a 063 battery last weekend which is suitable for both my DAF66 and my old Bolens HT20 garden tractor. Another hobby of mine is collecting Bolens tractors....

I KNOW I'm going to regret this, but just what is a Bolens Tractor (& does it have a Variomatic transmission?)

I KNOW I'm going to regret this, but just what is a Bolens Tractor (& does it have a Variomatic transmission?) Bolens tractors were made in Port Washington in the USA in the late 1950s. These were for the gardens or yards as the the Americans call them. The Ride a Matic was a versa a matic and the the other tractors were gears driven and some where hydrostatic. Here is a brief history of these little gems. gardentractortalk.com/articles.html/_/history/bolens-tractors-the-tube-frame-series-1962-1978-r68
