Wooden Dashboards For Daffodils and 33s

Steve Bidwell (he, the font of all knowledge where Dafs are concerned!) kindly gave me a wooden dashboard for an early Daf Daffodil, which I've just polished up! I've attached a picture of the 3 pieces & I've a number of questions I wondered if anyone would be able to answer, such as: have you seen a Daf with this type of dashboard fitted? Does anyone out there have a Daf with this and was this an extra offered only to British customers? The other slightly disappointing point is that these dashboards will fit Daf type 32 cars, I.E., the ones with the more raised bonnets but without the electric vacuum system. They had 4 identical controls on the right of the speedometer, for lights, choke, wipers and washers.... As I have a 33, I probably end up using this as a template to have one made for my car, but any information about this feature would be useful. Thanks!



SORRY! I've just realised I photographed the dashboard parts on top of a piece of newspaper, to protect our kitchen table from the polishing... Unfortunately I have just realised a young lady is protecting her modesty with 2 strategically positioned iced buns.... I hope no-one is offended!

As far as I'm aware this is a UK Dealer only option. It's always struck me as a bit rudimentary in the way they are just screwed directly to the plastic behind!
