Don't forget that details were included with the magazine just before Christmas of the proposed DAF Winter's lunch due to be held on Saturday 2nd February.
There was a note that asked if you were thinking of attending to let Steve know, so that he could advise the venue of the likely numbers.
So far, there has been a lower than usual response.
Hope we can still do/make it - it has been very popular over the last few years.

If anyone's hesitating as they're not sure of the venue, I can confirm it's a great pub, with great food! Last year the snow added to the scene and made it a particularly pretty scene. It's well worth making the effort to go, for some good Daf chat, beer and food!
I'll be there, but travelling by Subaru!

Just a bump/reminder.
Hopefully the snow won't cause a problem if it comes.

The Subaru is in the garage having a major service, including a cam belt change, but it'll be fully functioning by Friday morning and we will drive up then, staying over on Friday and Saturday night, before driving back on Sunday. REALLY looking forward to meeting a goodly group of fellow Daffers! If anyone wants some bits & pieces, I have a huge load and am happy to rummage through them to see if I have them.
Snow and Subarus (& Dafs!).....FUN FUN FUN! Both have "boxer" engines and both have CVT transmissions ("Variomatic" in the Daf and "Lineartronic" in Subaru, but the principle is the same!)

Is this still happening? Sadly if I manage to get there it will now be too late for lunch as I have to rush the dog to the vet tomorrow morning before leaving. Yes still on. But you must make a realistic decision about the weather - especially if you are still based where I believe you are. Also, it is a lunch event, so people will start departing quite soon after lunch... (We have had at least one apology from a loyal member who attends every year, because of snow his way)

Would like to have gone, but it might be a bit much this far from near Heathrow with this weather. Look forward to AGM in April

I've got a poorly 4 year old so I'm afraid I won't be there. My apologies as I do feel bad as I live by far the closest but I can assure you all you don't want to be coughed sneezed and snotted on whilst eating!

That's a shame but perfectly understandable - and yes, I think you probably did the right thing re not spreading germs!
We had a reasonable turnout - not as high as last year, which given the weather down south (how ironic) is not too surprising.
There were people from Surrey, Hertfordshire, North Yorkshire,South Yorkshire Lancashire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
The weather was kind - lovely blue sky and sunshine, and just a sprinkling of snow on the hills and moors of the Peak District.
Oh, we have booked the same pub as the venue for this year's AGM!
See you sometime.
