I may have mentioned before, but it's worth trying for discount on your next vehicle insurance renewal, as we have all had little use of our cars during the last lock down. We've only done around 15% of our usual mileage. I did ask for and got discount last year. Not a huge amount, but every little helps.

Following the above comments, I have just received the renewal for the DAF Van and Moggie !000 and it's nearly £50 less than last year?? Will ask why when I pay.

Paid the premium yesterday, had a chat with the broker and it seems many insurers have reduced premiums, some haven't; so I increased the value of the van a lump,it's still £30 odd quid cheaper than last year.Once the van has been finished, I'll up the value even more. My Dacia has gone up a lump, so will have words with Aviva, especially as we've used the car very little in the last 18 months.

Spoken with Aviva, very wishy washy answer, comment was[which seems hard to believe],"some years the premium goes up, some years it goes down". no reason given, I didn't want all the hassle of finding a cheaper insurance to save £50 quid or so, so paid this years premium. Will be interested to see if it goes down next year!!??. Be interested to see if the wifes premium with Aviva has incresed as well.
