What a great gathering of friendly folks, interesting cars and even the weather co-operated. My personal thanks to those kind folks who endeavoured to resolve the problems with my car. I'm happy to report I had no real issues n returning home with no charging system, even if it was idling so fast that I had to switch off and restart at every red light, thankfully only 5, and it starts so easily! Again thanks all, especially (in alphabetical order )Andrew Bob and Graeme.

Pleased to see this.
Unfortunately, due to work/civic commitments, I had to be elsewhere at rather short notice. I'd actually filled up with petrol and washed the DAF yesterday, but duty calls.
If anyone would like to write reports and send some photos in for the next magazine, then I would be grateful to receive them.
Thanks.

A great meeting and it was good to have the opportunity to chat to everyone once again-it's been too long! As Bob says, it was also a chance to carry out numerous "running repairs" while there. My sincere thanks to Graham for crawling under my car's transmission & repairing the split vacuum pipe! My 33 ran faultlessly on the way home and I'll fill it later today, allowing me to calculate the M.P.G. on the 170 mile run up & back. I'll report that later. I only took one or 2 pictures, as everyone was chatting so much, but I'll send them off to Richard, together with a few comments, soon.

The Princethorpe run was 170 miles round trip and I've just filled up the 33 with Esso "99" (that's NOT an ice cream!) premium E5 this afternoon, having done 181 miles since Sunday morning. All the motorway running was done as fast as traffic conditions, speed restrictions or the Daf's mechanical ability would permit, and that was mostly on or about 70 mph. I'm around to say that the car has returned EXACTLY 42 mpg!

Unfortunately circumstances prevented me from getting down to Princethorpe...I was most disappointed as I wanted so much to see all the lovely DAF's together and meeting some fellow Daffers. Glad everyone had a good day. Hopefully next year for me. I was able to do my first classic car show with an actual car this weekend as it was very local to me...only 15 mins drive. The Lydiate Classic car and bike show is an annual event and there were about 150 or so lovely cars from all decades. Great fun and lots of interesting people to chat to. There was much love and interest in my 66 and I loved the attention she was getting. Plenty of 'Oh god wow, I haven't seen one of them in years' and 'My Dad had one of those, it's got rubber bands hasn't it' comments. Lol.
