As you know, the club does not usually recommend businesses, services etc., mainly to be impartial and to protect interest etc.
However, I think we can make a bit of an exception here.
One of our longest standing members, Eric Bhojani, has been a member of the club from the very early days in 1980, and has owned and run most models of DAFs since before then. I first met Eric way back in 1981, and he is a great chap. I still have happy memories of some of our antics during our first club trip to Holland in 1984!
Anyway, he has been in touch with me to let me know that he has recently retired from his day job, and therefore has a bit more time at last to pick up again on his hobbies and interests.
One of these is still DAFs and Variomatic Volvos. Over the years, he has got up to all sorts of exploits and trips around Europe in his DAFs.
He is offering to be a source of technical advice to members who may be struggling with various queries. However, clever as he is, he is yet to master email and Internet! That said, he knows how to read these pages, but is not able to post messages (yet!)
However, any of you, especially in the London area (he lives in Hendon) is welcome to contact him or even meet up to do and resolve technical things.
Please be reasonable though about when you phone etc!
