Hi all, there are a set of drive belts on ebay old stock ones, i am currently bidding on them for another member who does not have accsess to the internet, (the chap who has just brought that DAF 46) the listing has hidden id and i dont want to get into a bidding war with anyone else on here so if anyone else needs them let me know. i know its not the spirit of ebay but ...........

That's fair enough, Paul! I was going to have a bid if they remained affordable as a spare set are always good to have, but I don't NEED them at the moment!
I'll keep an eye on them to see how much they go for, but I won't bid if someone you know needs them more than I do.
Talking of which, I wonder who's bidding on the belt-fitting tool? I was going to, as it would prove very useful for my fleet of DAF's and also I could loan it out to people who needed it.....

Yes I was wondering that as well........ mind £40 notes for a "G" clap is a bit silly to change a belt on your "Veryamatic" lol i must make one
I too was going to buy it as a loan tool, i do have a rear hub remover if anyone needs to borrow it

I was watching them too, but as you are bidding for it I will leave them alone (he he). I might put a bid on the hub remover as it seems quite a handy tool to have. I know I can borrow yours, but postal costs or picking it up would be too expensive in the end. I thought the belt removal tool was a bit pricey though.

Is that all the belt fitting tool is? ? give me a couple of bits of box section, threaded bar and 90 seconds with a mig welder. no problems. either that or machine mart have a "F screw workshop clamp" 400mm depth 120 mm throat that would do the job very well and only costs £5.28 with vat. sounds good to me Paul44
