Hi John Hope you are well, the Nash Metropolitian brought back some happy memories. My father was a car delivery driver and took many of them down to the docks for export to North America from Longbridge in Birmingham, you never know I may have sat in that one? Did they ever do an Auto box? all the ones I saw were 3 speed colume change. Your 46 looks good with the alloy wheels

Hello John. Well it looks like the end of Summer is on us here, as we have had our first snow. Still gave the 33 a good run on Monday to keep it freed up and to engoy the super heater, really curles up the toes after a while!!! I think the Nash was built at Austin (BMC) Longbridge in Birmingham, as that was the make and the Austin Healey sports cars I remember that my father transported (Far better speced than we saw over here) The Nash Metropolition I believe was initially built for the Canadian Market (Under Licence) and I remember being told the steel thickness in the body work was far thicker than normally used, it was also a shame it was not coupled to the 4 speed gearbox which Austin fitted to some colume change models over here of the same size engine.
I never saw a soft top version, which I thought would have gone well with that design.
Regards Bob.

Hi John I can see where the Nash Metropolitian got it's design from when you see the Ambassador Airflow with it's low wheel arches and curved lines. I assume they are related?
Regards Bob.
