Not being able to read forrin, is that the one in Swizerland that the locals are trying to get saved as a nature reserve against the Authorities demanding it's cleared? If so, I hadn't realised quite how extensive it is from the couple of articles I'd seen!!!

If it is the one I think it is, John, it's quite a story. Completely unofficial (as in no planning permission ever) and the cars are literally sort of "growing" back into nature - many have become homes for wild animals and the area is a bit of a local legend.
Only, the local Authority have decided it has to be cleared and, apparently, PAVED!!! Can't help wondering if it's a case of not wanting to admit that so much "pollution" can actually be quietly reclaimed by nature so easily???
There've been a couple of small articles in the motoring press over here but my French simply isn't up to following the story on the site.

Hi Spunkymonkey. I hadn't realised that French was the native tongue in Anglesey. Now I know why nobody understands my English there.

Hi Spunkymonkey. I hadn't realised that French was the native tongue in Anglesey. Now I know why nobody understands my English there. Marcus H. ;D Unfortunately, the native tongue here is becomeing (more and more) Welsh - to the point that they can specify "Welsh essential" in just about any job advert! Bearing in mind that "North Welsh" and "South Welsh" are practically different languages, I've been sorely tempted to go out and learn the South version Oh, and they do all understand English - just might not admit it when it suits them

I'll second that I had to learn Welsh at school as a mandatory subject up to year 11 (5th year for those who don't understand the not so new system). It never ceases to amaze me that the assembly government thinks that Welsh will be more usefull than French, Spanish or German which are optional subjects that the schools do not even have to offer
