Yes please!
I always need stories and articles.
Best way is to email me the words and pics.
Any queries, please let me know.
Thanks.
(Jolly quiet around here nowadays isn't it?)

It would be great to see a write up of the coach painting process. I think a lot of the time the professional magazines leave a lot of information out, so hearing from someone who has actually gone through the process for a whole car would be excellent.

Hi, Sorry I haven't been in touch for a while, been building on the house and sorting around the small holding so Dafs other vehicles and visiting folks have been on the back boiler. Only a Moggie Van,BSA Bantam and a porch to build then we can get out and about. Your 44 looks really great and I hope to come down sometime this year to meet a fellow Peterboroughian!! Regards Tony[starider]

Hi all July update as previous post, have refitted all the glass, carefully, used a series of wooden wedges lots of patience and a lot of acrobatic positions, Went down to the local old fashioned windscreen co, told him what I was doing and he sold me a giant cartridge of black windscreen sealant so should keep dry. The trim around the windscreen does not want to go back in, anyone done this before??? any clues would be helpful. I may well try to make a tool
refitted all the electrics, tagged all the wires so they all went back where they came from and doubled earthed all units to avoid feedback Last weekend I was quite excited I was going to start her up for the first time, everything checked, battery fully charged, turned the key ---Nothing--- checked all connections, ok bridged the starter motor, the starter whirred but did not engage. So took the starter off and tested the solenoid. dead as a Dodo. Rang around and should have a replacement soon. So am having to content myself refitting the trim under the rear lights. Oh the joys of Daffing Why dont the ladies understand this???

Hi Matt tried fitting the trims first but as soon as the rubber twisted they popped straight out again. will probably end up making a tool to spread the rubber . will let you know and you can borrow it

Hi daydoodler, sorry I haven't been in touch, haven't finished the Moggie van yet,the Bantam is finished, but have since bought a Greeves Griffon which I had finished, then found the anti-ethanol sealer I had put in the GRP tank hadn't worked, so I am waitng for a new tank to be made.I am trying to catch up with my jobs, but my wife and I run a community steel band and we are getting more and more bookings!! Will hpefully get down as soon as. starider

Hi all I dont really believe this myself after all this time, but Dolly Daf passed her MOT today!!!. She went through with no advisories, but needed the headlights aim resetting, I also had the CO set on the gas analyser and the tracking set.She went like a rocket` on the way home all seemed to be going well so took her up to 60 mph on the dual carriage way. will be out again tomorrow

I can't believe how many years it has been since that day. 6 years this summer!! It feels like a lifetime ago. One day I hope we will be reunited!
